MY STAY AT THE MERCURE HOTEL

Where have the past two months gone?! January and February have been a whirlwind with work at it's busiest, trying to keep up with all the exciting news from fashion weeks, staying motivated to gym and yet still reserving some energy for a social life... I've had a long week off and I'm feeling fully refreshed.

During my week off, I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at The Mercure Hyde Park Hotel, located in a beautiful white pillared London town house with Hyde Park on it's doorstep. I couldn't have thought of a better timing for a luxurious mini-break with my boyfriend.

Our room was beautiful, with enormous windows overlooking a garden square with the most incredible kingsize bed. It was so comfortable, I was tempted to scrap all our London plans that morning and opt for a lazy day and order room service. After peeling myself out of the bed, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast and set out for the day.

Whenever I find myself in London on the weekend, I always want to visit Notting Hill. It is filled with cute brunch spots and is also perfect for shopping along the Portobello Road Market. Ticks all the boxes!

We stumbled across Egg Break, a small cafe amongst the many beautiful pastel houses where we sat down for some poached eggs and avo on toast with a side of smoothie. Definitely worth visiting for all things breakfast/coffee/brunch with a relaxed drop-in feel. Another favourite is Granger & Co, and of course Farm Girl, where you can read my review here.

Honest Burger is hands down my favourite burger restaurant, and as a huge burger fan -it's kind of a big deal.  The hand cut chips are insane and I always appreciate lemonade in jars and stripy straws. There are many branches around London and you should definitely go get your hands on one of their buns!
